Steve Roach (born 1955) is an American ambient musician and composer. His approach to ambient music has typically been beatless, though sometimes utilizing acoustic percussion. Some recordings are strictly synthesizers, whereas some recordings include (very) ambient guitar experiments, and some cross over with traditional Australian Aboriginal music.
