Tales to Astonish: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

Tales to Astonish is the name of several comic book series published by Marvel Comics. The original Tales to Astonish was a science fiction anthology that began featuring superheroes during the Silver Age of Comic Books.

Henry Pym first appeared in #27, he became the Ant-Man in #35, teamed up with the Wasp in #44 and became Giant-Man in #49. His features ended in #69. The Incredible Hulk became a feature character in #59, continuing from the original six-issue Hulk series; after Tales to Astonish #101, his feature is continued in The Incredible Hulk #102. Namor the Sub-Mariner received his first feature in a decade beginning with #70, and was continued after #101 in Iron Man and Sub-Mariner #1.

A brief horror anthology bearing the same name ran from 1979-1981, and the one-shot Marvel Selects: Tales to Astonish featured the Hulk, Namor, Ant-Man and the Wasp.
