Ted Levine (born 28 May 1958 in Parma, Ohio) is an American actor. He is probably best known for his role as demented serial killer Jame 'Buffalo Bill' Gumb in the 1989 blockbuster thriller Silence of the Lambs.
Levine attended Marlboro College and the University of Chicago. He acts in film and television from time to time, but generally devotes most of his energy towards theatre.
