Tenoch was a ruler of the Azteca during the fourteenth century.
The Nahuatl symbols of his name are found in the Mexican Flag: Tetl, the rock, and Nochtli, the prickly pear cactus. The original name of Mexico City, Tenochtitlán, means "place founded by Tenoch".
Tenoch is also the name of a character in the movie Y tu mamá también.
