The Thirteen-Gun Salute (1989) is a novel by Patrick O'Brian, the thirteenth in the Aubrey–Maturin series. It tells the story of a venture to the ficticious land of Kampong, where an ambitious King's emissary attempts to win over the local king with a treaty, while the French attempt the same.
