The Zeta Project: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

The Zeta Project is a science fiction animated series, first aired on Kids' WB in January 2001. It was a spinoff of the series Batman Beyond.

The story focused on Infiltration Unit Zeta, a government robot designed to destroy targeted individuals. However, Zeta develops a conscience and runs away from the government so he won't have to destroy anymore.

Zeta is pursued by a team of NSA agents, led by the ruthless Agent Bennett, and including Agent Lee, Agent West, and Agent Rush. On the way, he meets up with a 15 year old runaway, Ro Rowen. Together, they search for Zeta's creator, the elusive Dr. Selig, in an attempt to prove Zeta's sentience and earn him his freedom.

The show was created by Robert Goodman, and starred Diedrich Bader, Julie Nathanson, Kurtwood Smith, Dominique Jennings, Eli Marienthal, Scott Marquette, Michael Rosenbaum, and Lauren Tom.

The Zeta Project ran for two seasons, and last aired in August 2002. No new episodes have been ordered, and the show's fans fear that the show may never return. However, an online petition has been started to persuade the WB to order new episodes.
