Toonami: Meaning (information, definition, explanation, facts)

Toonami was Cartoon Network's mid-afternoon cartoon block which usually ran from 5PM to 7PM M-F until April 2004 in which the time was switched to Saturday at 7-11 PM to make room for the new mid-afternoon cartoon block called Miguzi. Toonami usually showcases dubbed anime from Japan.

In the UK, Toonami was also a programming block on Cartoon Network. It was later moved to CNX, a new channel owned by the same company, which also broadcast martial arts movies at night. CNX was later closed down and replaced by Toonami which became a full-time UK channel in its own right.
