The Treaty of Rome of January 27, 1924 was an agreement by which Italy and the Kingdom of the Serbs, Croats and Slovenes (the later Yugoslavia) assigned the city of Fiume (now Rijeka in Croatia) to Italian and its eastern neighbour Sušak to Yugoslav administration, with joint port administration, superseding the 1920 Treaty of Rapallo which had declared Fiume an independent state.
